Salary: £Excellent package » Ref: JT4643 » Location: Liverpool

• Work with the CEO to develop a robust commercial plan, increasing revenue for the club and implementing a cohesive strategy across marketing, sales, sponsorship, media and the Foundation.
• Provide strong commercial leadership and work closely with the department heads to ensure that each department has established and agreed plans.
• Lead of the development of a strategy across both sales and marketing to fully exploit revenue opportunities within both business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets.
• Ensure the club has a leading approach across all e-commerce and digital platforms, to include internet, mobile and television.
• Develop a sponsorship strategy ensuring the delivery maximum revenues from all new and existing clients and the fulfilment of sponsorship exploitation strategies to deliver return on investment for key partners.
• Build on Everton’s core fan base and ensure appropriate processes are in place to grow attendances and the club’s global appeal.
• Responsibility for selection and development of an experienced team, building a highly motivated and goal-orientated culture across all areas.

Skills, knowledge and qualifications needed;

• Extensive leadership experience at director level in a complex stakeholder environment.
• Ability to develop a “high standards” culture and be able to demonstrate excellent discipline and attention to detail. Experience within a blue-chip environment would be desirable.
• Experience in planning and delivering services to tight deadlines and tight budgets. Strong financial management and reporting.
• Understanding of sports sponsorship and the benefits of what and how it can deliver for partners, experience of negotiating sponsorship contracts.
• A track record of high end sponsorship sales and/or an excellent global network of major brands and sponsors would be preferable.
• Experience within the digital marketplace and ability to develop strategies within this to increase customer base and maximise revenue.
• A sound knowledge of developing CRM programmes and strategies.
• Must possess a range of influencing skills and be able to adapt their communication style for both external and internal customers/stakeholders.
• Collaborative management style, able to engage all parts of the business.
• Hands-on/lead-by-example approach where necessary and be able to build and manage a cohesive culture.
• Driven by outstanding performance and customer service standards. Will demonstrate the commitment and persistence to achieve goals within a challenging environment
• Experience of a results-orientated, commercial background with a strong work ethic and the required energy and desire to be successful.
