Project/Football Account Manager

The Role 
  • Serve as one of the Account Managers within the dedicated EBU - UEFA EURO 2012™ Broadcaster Servicing Team project
  • Manage the operational, logistical and overall delivery aspects of the project towards an allocated group of Broadcasters holding UEFA EURO 2012™ media rights, under the supervision of the Head of Account Management
  • Ensure a first class service towards both Broadcasters and UEFA
  • Provision of state of the art advice and service in specialist domain.
Job Content & Diversity
  • Responsible for the daily relationship with an allocated group of Broadcasters holding UEFA EURO 2012™ media rights
  • Management / preparation of contract delivery including daily communication and correspondence with the dedicated group of broadcasters
  • Coordinate and ensure various operational tasks such as distribution of broadcast materials, tickets and hospitality requests and accreditations.
  • Participate to on-site account management and operations
  • Daily internal and external communication with various parties involved (EBU departments, Broadcasters, UEFA, Host Broadcaster, and Local Organising Committee).
  • Regular contact with broadcasters, internet and broadband operators in Europe and overseas.  
Skills Required 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer oriented, flexible, and able to create trustworthy relationships with counterparts at all hierarchical levels
  • Flexibility (travels, unscheduled working hours)
  • Ability to work and set priorities under time pressure and in a changing environment. 
  • Excellent organizational, logistical and planning skills, detail orientated & service minded (client comes first)
 
Qualifications 
  • University degree or equivalent in business administration, sports management or similar
  • Fluent written and spoken English, French and/or German, any other additional European language is an asset
  • Strong IT user skills – MS Office
  • Good administrative skills
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years confirmed experience in the Sports event industry e.g. sports federation / sports agencies / broadcasters.
  • Proven aptitude in account management
  • Good understanding and knowledge of event management procedures and of sport in general
