The Role

Liverpool FC is seeking to appoint a Partnership Development Manager who, as part of the Commercial Partnerships team, will have responsibility for the generation of revenues through the acquisition of commercial partners on both a regional and global level.

The role will include:

  • Developing leads through research and building an industry network and profile
  • Presentation of partnership opportunities to senior level individuals in targeted companies
  • Development of bespoke partnership proposals to suit needs of individual companies
  • Closing partnership deals including negotiation of commercial terms and working alongside legal team taking the commercial lead to negotiate and conclude full form agreements
  • Generate revenue from a variety of sources including but not limited to sponsorship, advertising, online/mobile/TV opportunities, international tours and licensing
  • Liaise and develop relationships with local agencies across all international markets


The Person

  • Track record of exceptional sales/business development achievements in the sports or media industry
  • Leading or playing a major part in negotiating and closing high value business to business partnership deals. 
  • Excellent presentational skills and ability to persuade and influence audience with credible business content
  • A natural affinity or passion for the sport would be advantageous
  • Must be self motivated, able to work quickly but precisely, multi-task, and respond quickly to a variety of needs, sometimes under pressure.
