Innocean Australia forms part of Innocean Worldwide, a global marketing and communications company with offices in 17 countries and over 1000 employees. Commencing the Australian office in 2009 with two significant foundation clients, Innocean Australia has grown rapidly offering a fully-integrated, 360-degree service, including digital, activation & above-the-line. A young agency with a fresh approach, they have already created some great success stories for their clients at all levels.
The Innocean Sponsorship and Events team is responsible for the strategic development and leverage of Hyundai and Kia's sponsorship portfolios. Working on both local and global projects on major sponsorship properties including Hyundai A-League, Australian Open for Kia, FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championships, Carlton, Essendon, Sculpture by the Sea and others. The Innocean team also delivers events for the client including National Dealer Meetings and integration into launches.
Purpose of the role
The key resource on all things event and and experiential production within the Innocean Events and Sponsorship team. This person will work across multiple projects working with different members of the E&S team to always ensure outstanding client service and best practice delivery of all experiential, event and logistical elements of campaigns.
The primary responsibility for this person will be the on-the-ground presence for Kia as Major Sponsor of the Australian Open.

Key Responsibilities
People Management
  • Oversees the workflow the clients and projects for which they are the lead and team members working on that account
  • Managers and mentors junior member(s) of the team and freelance resource
  • Works across the agency with other departments where necessary – including creative, studio, digital and business management
Client
  • Develops and maintains a close and open rapport with senior clients resulting in a business partnership approach
  • Runs their element of the account based on an understanding of the requirements of both businesses, particularly with regard to business objectives, budgets and timings
  • Offers strategic and creative recommendations to the client on the direction of their account
 
  • Is the contact point for the client should any problems arise in their projects
  • Ensures that the team is meeting client service requirements 
  • Liaises closely with Head of E&S for account direction and/or troubleshooting 
 
Experiential and Events skills
 
  • Highly experienced in delivery of events and activations for clients
  • Brings with them a strong network of suppliers in Sydney and Melbourne who are trusted to deliver across all potential elements of work – including builders, designers, theming, tech, A/V, staffing
  • Experience of managing conferences and launch events

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • Graduate preferably or relevant industry experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with large events porfolio and client service experience
  • Events and Experiential specialist. Ideally has understanding of wider marketing including advertising, PR, DM, digital, social
  • Good general business acumen understanding
  • Well developed communication skills – both oral and written
  • Proven experience in presenting at a senior level
  • The ability to develop high trust relationships – both client and internal at a senior level
  • Leadership and people management skills
