A very exciting opportunity has arisen within the sponsorship division of a leading global sports marketing agency based in London.

 

The division this role is based within is responsible for all non-media sponsorship and experiential marketing activity including sports marketing, the arts, music, celebrity endorsements, event creation, field marketing, sampling and experiential marketing.

 

The Role

 

The purpose of this role is to manage the ongoing sponsorship and experiential programmes for two of the agencies biggest clients.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience of creating integrated sponsorship and partnership campaigns and demonstrate a developed understanding of building activation plans using media channels to amplify programmes fully through the line. This includes knowledge of digital and social media platforms and a good understanding of how these form part of a sponsorship activation strategy.

 

The sponsorship team consists of a total of 10 of which the successful candidate would manage two, so knowledge of team management and development is key.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Work across the full sponsorship delivering full project planning, development, management, on site activation, budgeting and administration
  • Overseeing logistical delivery of programmes and events across the event portfolio, supported by the team
  • Lead the development of creative ideas, working with planning teams and clients to interrogate business and campaign objectives and deliver insightful and creative solutions for the sponsorship to deliver year on year
  • Ensure that work produced meets all objectives set, is done by the agreed time to the highest standard and achieves the best possible results for the company and clients
  • Push the rights owner to deliver to its fullest capability
  • Co-ordinate clients affiliated agencies to deliver a fully integrated sponsorship with efficiency and cohesiveness illustrate commercial business sense
  • Liaison with key departments in the planning and execution of the sponsorship and partnership programme including account management, press and PR, marketing and accounts to ensure client objectives are communicated and met
  • Management and development of team members regarding prioritising workloads, giving clear instruction, leading with authority, delegating effectively ,making use of the teams skill set

 

Experience required:- 

  • Proven solid experience in a sponsorship environment.
  • Experience of leading client relationships
  • Ability to deliver creative ideas taking into consideration across the whole sponsorship
  • Demonstrate strong presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Financial performance to budgets and adherence to spending authorities and financial policies
  • Able to travel where necessary to events and also be able to work weekends when required on swimming events
  • Demonstration of sport understanding and passion
  • Experience of event management and on site activation exposure
  • Experience of cross-platform campaign management
  • Good understanding of digital and social media channels
  • Demonstration of running a team
  • A proven innovative and creative thinker
