Background


An experienced PR Manager is required to join one of the UK’s leading sports participation companies. The agency has created many of the UK’s highest profile grassroots sports events and programmes including the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile, Sky Ride and Swimathon.


Main duties and responsibilities of the role:


The PR Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing PR strategies for a number of projects, including Swimathon, Home Run and Boutique Sport.

  • Create and deliver synchronised PR strategies across all media platforms, both on line and off line
  • Support the development of the marketing and communication strategies for project and campaigns
  • Act as the key contact for the client or partners in relation to the PR campaign, attending any client / partner meetings as required
  • Work with the relevant Senior Account Managers, Project Managers and their clients to establish key campaign / media messages
  • Source and create content for use across projects/campaigns
  • Ensure project and campaign objectives and client expectations are always met
  • Manage the relationship with an external consultant to deliver Corporate PR activity to help raise the company’s profile, awareness and understanding amongst key target audiences
  • Provide ongoing PR support to project teams as required

  • 3-4 years experience in PR
  • 1-2 years experience of managing staff
