The North Melbourne Football Club (NMFC), also known as the Kangaroos, is the fourth oldest Australian Rules football club. Based at the Arden Street Oval in the inner Melbourne suburb of North Melbourne and characterised by its working class background and their ability to succeed against the odds, The Kangaroos’ culture is envied by its opposition and has been known to deliver the team many victories.  With a new state-of-the-art facility, young coach and fresh breed of talented players, the Kangaroos have begun an exciting journey into a new era.

The NMFC are looking for a sales and events specialist to drive the club's Debt Reduction Strategy "Invest in Success".  They will drive the sales aspect and manage the club's unique "Premiership Pledge" program aimed at offering NMFC supporters and members a unique product range aimed at reducing the club's debt. 

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic sales person with a passion for managing creative fundraising events and opportunities.  Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the fantastic membership and communication teams you will be integral in ensuring the long-term success of the NMFC both on and off the field. 

The role will be an initial 8-month contract position (running from January – August 2012) with the potential for ongoing employment in either the membership or commercial teams at the Kangaroos.  As a dynamic organisation, the NMFC are open to flexible working options outside of the standard business hours to attract quality candidates.
