MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To lead the implementation of the National Game Strategy (NGS) and deliver specific targets within a defined FA Region
-
Define and deliver a bespoke business support service to County FAs within a defined FA region.
-
To develop successful partnerships to deliver the NGS and to increase investment into the National Game
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
-
Lead the implementation of the NGS and targets through a specific FA Region
-
Identify the strategic priorities and delivery plans in the region and align resources to have the greatest impact on NG targets
-
Identify the support services and resources County FAs require to enable the delivery of CFA strategies and targets
-
Lead the annual County Strategy planning process and allocation of revenue distributions
-
Track and analyse the delivery of County FA targets and identify and promote good practice
-
Ensure that equality and safeguarding objectives and targets in the NGS are delivered
-
Support Counties to improve the quality of data ensuring it is correct, robust and accurate
-
Provide bespoke support to Counties to support them to become efficient business operations
-
Support Counties to develop and implement business plans
-
Ensure the establishment of robust Financial Management systems in CFAs
-
Influence and support CFAs to implement a Corporate Governance Model (implement leadership models and good practice)

Influence and support CFAs to implement robust Business Continuity plans
-
Support County FA to understand and comply with relevant legislation in CFAs
-
Build positive and productive relationships with CEOs, Chairpersons, Boards of Directors and
-
County Development Mangers

Ensure that County FA staff have up to date knowledge of all areas of the NG
-
Lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives in the regions
-
Support Counties to implement effective performance management systems to drive delivery and improve performance
-
Provide leadership, develop and support the County FA paid workforce enhancing skills and
-
knowledge in critical areas

Deliver and shape the content of regional meetings with CEOs and other County FA Staff
-
Work with the Regional Facilities Managers to develop and implement a facility strategy in the region
-
Establish regional teams/matrix management structures of FA staff and FF staff to co-ordinate delivery of the NGS within the regions and into County FAs
-
Influence County FAs to develop representative and effective internal and external delivery structures
-
Develop and maintain relevant Regional, County and local partnerships to drive delivery and increase investment into the NG
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential

Knowledge of the Goals and Enablers within the NGS and of the political and functional workings of County FAs

Track record of delivering results and raising performance within established targets

Ability to lead matrix management structures

Ability to lead and motivate people through indirect line management

Demonstrate success providing a range of customer support services to internal and external customers

Capable of developing effective partnerships to secure resources and deliver shared targets

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels therefore acting as ambassador to the game onbehalf of The FA
