Accountabilities

To own & lead all partnerships with sports/music rights holders & athletes in order to generate maximum ROI.

To annually establish objectives for key sponsorship properties in line with overall brand KPI’s.

To develop & lead the world class activation of all key sports rights in line with mainstream brand campaigns so as to deliver against brand/sponsorship KPI’s. (Supplemented by retained sports sponsorship agency).

Monitor & evaluate the ROI of key sponsorship assets against set KPI’s in consultation with research partners.

To continually improve the ROI from sponsorship by applying learning’s from the activation of key rights against set KPI’s.

To deliver long-term recommendations into the band team as to future asset & activation strategy.

To also act as a strategic advisor into the brand teams & agencies as to the best use of sports & music rights in ATL campaigns.

To support retained sponsorship agency on all negotiation with sports & music rights holders.

On an annual basis, work with the brand teams to define the scope of work for all key marketing agencies & then negotiate annual fees with each agency to secure the SOW within defined budgets.

On a 6 monthly basis, conduct performance reviews with all marketing agencies in order to continually improve their performance against a defined set of KPI’s.
Personal Specification

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong brand management skills & experience from a leading marketing-led organisation.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of delivering world class activation of sports rights, with demonstrable ROI for their brand(s).

Significant sports rights partnership management.

Innate knowledge of the sports marketplace.
-
Strong ‘contact book’ within sports industry.
-
Been involved with rights holder negotiation on behalf of brand-led organisations.

Managed multiple marketing agencies.
