Background
The Football Association is the governing body of football in England. It was formed in 1863 and is the oldest national football association. Based at Wembley Stadium, London, it is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the game of football in England, both professional and amateur.
Job Purpose

To manage the consumer product and IP approval process of all licensing and business development partners
-
Provide support across the key licensing accounts (amounting to circa 1.6m per annum)

Facilitate delivery of the contractual obligations
-
To work as a key part of the team in developing the future England and FA Cup licensing programmes and subsequent sales process

To support the Business Development and Sales team in the generation of presentations, reports and general administration functions
Key Accountabilities
-
Manage the day-to-day UK and international licensing and IP approval process working closely with approval departments of The FA’s licensing agents and direct licensees/business development partners

Manage the creative direction and strategy of both the England and The FA Cup programme with the licensing agency and direct licensees

Liaising with the England players representative regarding the approval and use of player rights by licensees/business development partners

Assist Business Development Managers in the account management of agents, licensees and business development partners

Assist Business Development Managers in the generation of presentations, reports and general administration

The planning, organisation and delivery of a variety of licensing related events
-
Assist the development of new licensing opportunities

Desirable Skills

Experience in a commercial/marketing environment, preferably within the sports industry

Experience of commercial contracts involving rights negotiation and delivery

Educated to Degree level or alternative
-
A good eye for creative delivery of merchandise at retail
