About Top Corner

 

An exciting company that organises adult leisure sports leagues and tournaments, Top Corner was established in 1996.  It is now the market leader in central London, being by far the biggest league organiser in the city, and the best by reputation. 

 

Top Corner runs football, netball and basketball leagues and is poised to explore new opportunities in other sports.  Already, almost 700 teams play every week.  A strong supporter of youth sports projects for many years, Top Corner works with the best community organisations to deliver sporting opportunities for children.

 

The company has successfully piloted a franchise concept and is extending its activities across Greater London and into other cities through franchising.  A recent investment of £30k in a complete web site rebuild (delivery January 2012) will give us a market-leading web site.

 

 

About you

 

Passionate about sport and an outgoing, enthusiastic individual, you relish a challenge.   A confident verbal and written communicator, you have the ability to represent Top Corner with anyone from blue chip clients to community groups.

 

Driven to succeed and to create excellence, you are a principled individual who wants to make a positive contribution to the world.

 

A professional in the sports business, you have a degree and at least 3-4 years’ experience in sport business.  We may accept 4 years’ relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

 

 

The Role

 

Reporting direct to the Managing Director, you will have responsibility for overseeing all aspects of Business Development:

• Franchise sales and marketing
• Forming strategic partnerships
• Seeking and negotiating with sponsors and partners to support the company
• Developing new league venues and tournaments
• Implementation of social media strategy
• Organising events to support Top Corner leagues

 

Salary

£30-38k + bonus depending on experience.  We would consider applications for a part-time role.
