Background

We have a superb opportunity for a talented sponsorship sales person to join one of the fastest growing global events companies.

Eurosport Events is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Eurosport Group, set up to organise, promote and develop international sporting events.

For their growing commercial team based in Munich we are looking to recruit an Account Director to source and secure sponsorship for their portfolio of events. A large focus will revolve around Motorsports where Eurosport broadcast a number of live events including their main event, FIA WTCC, alongside IRC, Formula Master and Rally Raid World Tour. Aside from Motorsport, Eurosport also has a number of other events in their portfolio including the Rugby sevens Grand Prix series. 

Key Responsibilities

• To source and secure sponsorship for a portfolio of international events owned and operated by Eurosport
• To account manage clients in order to ensure service levels and maximise and exceed agreed sales revenue targets
• Work closely together with the wider Eurosport team as well as working proactively to integrate the events offerings into the wider portfolio of TV and Internet

Skills & Experience Required

• Work experience in Sales/Sponsorship sport environment
• Impressive track record in driving sales and experience in managing deals from start to finish
• Excellent understanding of the industry both from a clients and rights holders’ perspective
• Excellent communications skills and telephone manner
• Resilience and tenacity.
• Results driven
• Highly motivated self starter who is enthusiastic, resilient, flexible and who has an ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Ability to work alone/as part of a team
• Fluent in English & German
