Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Product Manager- Equipment, the successful candidate will:

Research and recommend the seasonal Range Construct for Equipment, identify product gaps & opportunities, customer and consumer feedback, and optimise profitable growth

Work cross-functionally to ensure all product development initiatives are delivered each season on time

Brief and guide Speedo Asia team to ensure the product plans agreed are sourced and developed according to SIL briefs and to calendar

Work with PA Technical team to ensure SIL quality standards are met including gold seal samples.

Manage the delivery of all samples for approval, photo shoot, conference and other key meetings

Assist and document user trials and testing of new product

Undertake competitor research across Hardgoods and make recommendations to product range

Support in the delivery and execution of two Global Product Conferences per year
-
Work with Product manager to understand consumer needs, retail channels, key accounts and key success criteria for given product area

Work with BDM’s and Product teams to support key market activities, and build needs into product range
-
Ensure Equipment category delivers product range to seasonal calendar
-
Responsibility for ensuring seasonal catalogue process is delivered for the Hard Goods category. Work with central marketing to ensure that product information is correct in the catalogue.

Responsible for the accurate and timely population of range development tool (PDM), MDM / SAP upload, and support the reporting process for the category

Support and contribute to the cross-functional team in the delivery of agreed KPIs and milestones

Ensure C Folders is updated with all key seasonal information

Pro-actively contribute to the cross-functional team in day-to-day processes, meetings, review etc
Skills & Experience Required
-
Experience within a product-based environment, or of supporting a product development team is key
-
Experience of working as part of a team within an operational or commercial role
-
Educated to degree level or similar, preferably within a related field
-
Skilled in the use of appropriate PC applications (e.g. Office, Adobe CS)

Able to self-manage schedule and workload within a deadline driven environment

Able to monitor and report progress on small projects

Able to quickly assess and process information to make decisions

Passionate about product with an understanding of consumer needs

Able to work and communicate cross-functionally at a variety of levels across the business

A good listener and communicator with an understanding of cultural nuances

Able to understand broad consumer trends across a variety of product areas, and how these might be applied in a commercial environment

Able to show initiative and an ability to think innovatively

Able to work with key external partners (suppliers, external agencies, collaborations) as required to support consumer categories
