Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, Nitro Circus Live are an international sports and entertainment company with 10 years experience within the world of action sports. They are the promoters and rights-holder of the global phenomenon Nitro Circus Live, which played to record breaking crowds across Australia and New Zealand during their first tours in 2010/2011. The Commercial Director of Nitro Circus Live will play a critical role in the commercial success of the business by driving new revenue opportunities.
The Nitro Circus Live brand has quickly established itself as a dominant player in action sports, with unique and exciting content generated by the talents of superstars including Travis Pastrana. The tour is on an aggressive growth curve and will hold up to 65 shows in the next 12 months across Australia, NZ, UK, Europe and the USA. A newly created position, the Commercial Director will be charged with expertly expanding the revenue generation of the business beyond ticket sales, by identifying sponsorship, licensing, media, and merchandise opportunities.
A 'hands-on' role you will be a part of tight-knit executive consisting of the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director. Charged with creating and implementing a Global Commercial Strategy, the Commercial Director will also have a strong understanding of how the modern consumer digests information across all platforms. They will be able to assess and commercialize on a global basis the various Media Assets of Nitro Circus Live.
Whilst the successful candidate may come from a number of differing backgrounds, it is expected that someone with the relevant commercial sales expertise will have experience from either multi-media, global sports and/or entertainment/events industries. Ultimately you will be an individual who strongly fits with the brand, is ambitious and who can recognise opportunity within this burgeoning sector.
The role will be fast paced and require extensive travel out of the Sydney Head Office to identify and secure lasting partnerships with sponsors and media partners.
