Founded in 1866, Harlequins is one of the oldest Rugby Clubs in England and their iconic shirt and brand is one of the most recognised global brands in sport. They are currently enjoying huge success on the pitch and sit at the top of the Aviva premiership table, have a number of key players in the revitalised England team, and can boast having the England captain in their squad. As a result, Quins have recently announced the implementation of a new management restructure to strengthen its resources and capitalise on current and future commercial opportunities and to ensure their long term sustainability. This involves the introduction of a number of new positions across the Commercial and Administrative team, from executive through to director level placements.
The Role
The Project Manager will conduct the central changes to the Stoop Stadium and Surrey Sports Park which will be taking place over the next 12 month period.
Key Responsibilities

Project manage changes to Stoop Stadium and Surrey Sports Park, in conjunction with facilities management and department heads

To manage external contracts which relate to cleaning, security, general maintenance, ground pitch maintenance, event medical cover and stewarding

To liaise and work closely with other departmental managers and clients

Liaise closely with outside agencies regarding the use of their facilities i.e. RFU and Richmond upon Thames College

Manage usage of utilities, mobile phones and general telephone systems

Work in close liaison with Accounts on IT and telephone, infrastructure management
-
Manage insurance requirements for the Stadium, look after fire/emergency procedures and cover

Work in close liaison with local authority groups such as the police, licensing officer, building control and safety
Skills and Experience Required
-
NVQ4 in Spectator Safety

NEBOSH Qualified
-
In depth understanding of COSHH
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience of managing sports stadiums

Experience of managing staff and budgets
-
Educated to degree level or equivalent
-
Outstanding organisation and influencing skills
-
Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, particularly in relation to Sports Stadia

Experience of dealing with local authorities
