The Rugby Football Union (RFU) is the national governing body for grassroots and elite rugby in England and represents the largest rugby playing nation in the world, with nearly 2,000 clubs and 3,000 affiliated schools and around 700,000 active players of all ages.
The RFU is owned by its member clubs and is tasked with reinvesting any profit made into rugby union at all levels in England. RFU headquarters is Twickenham Stadium, the home of England Rugby into the ultimate destination for business and sport.
The past 10 years has seen significant changes within the RFU. A more focused management structure has been developed which has overseen a consistent rise in profits and brought best practice to the organisation.
The RFU are now proactively looking to strengthen the commercial team with the appointment of a Head of Marketing. This is a crucial hire for the RFU and they are looking for a specialist marketer (both commercially and creatively focussed) to build and implement a new marketing strategy to be 'rolled-out' across the whole of the organisation, to increases participants and maximise revenues.
