Love the outdoors? A leading sporting goods brand seeks a Strategic Marketing Expert 21/11/2011

‘This is a unique opportunity for a person who deeply understands outdoor sports, the consumers, the markets, footwear, apparel and gear.  We are seeking an Outdoor Brand Manager that will lead our outdoor brand strategy into the future.’

Salomon is a leading brand in outdoor and winter sport footwear, apparel and equipment.  They currently require an experienced Brand Marcomms Manager to join their global marketing team. 

The candidate will come with international strategic marketing capabilities from sports, luxury brands or an FMCG environment who is an active participant in Outdoor pursuits. This is a critical role for the business and requires a strategically savvy individual who understands the science of marketing and can clearly visualise the direction of the Brand.

Bornling lists the following qualities as the most important requirements for the position:

  • International experience of Brand Management and Strategic Marketing
  • Visionary capacity
  • Outdoor sports experience
  • Creative marketing communications capacity
  • Product sensitivity and understanding

A generous package is on offer for the successful candidate, including a 15% target bonus.  The position is based in Annecy, France.
