Arsenal – Senior Partnership Development Executive – Asia

Job Purpose

The Senior Partnership Development Executive – Asia, will play a crucial role in the acquisition of new business revenue, based out of the Club’s Asian office, in Singapore. Reporting to the Director, Asia, this position will play a major role in the generation of revenues through the acquisition of commercial partners throughout certain key international markets. Once signed the account management of partnerships will be handled by the Partner Services team within the Partnerships team.

Arsenal is seeking to secure deals that deliver on both revenue and brand objectives and will require the individual to conduct desk research on target territories, build prospect lists and undertake all aspects of the sales process to secure the best possible partnerships for the club.

Through the understanding of the Arsenal brand and club attributes, this individual will seek partners that will positively promote and expose Arsenal and help build its fanbase across key markets.

The individual will support increasing the awareness of our commercial proposition across key markets by extending our network of key stakeholders and influencers.

The position will require frequent travel and the individual will be expected to carry out the role with a degree of flexibility given varying geographic locations across a set of key markets from the Asian region.


Key Responsibilities

Create opportunities and secure partnership revenue across key markets. Support the Director, Asia in the promotion of the club in the region(s), and work closely with other members of the team in compiling target lists and making initial approaches;

  • Use knowledge of markets and brands to develop target lists including contact details in target sectors across key markets, working in conjunction with the PDE’s
  • Proactively contact decision makers and travel to formal meetings to introduce the partnership opportunities at the club
  • Create bespoke presentation materials for each meeting which will include close liaison with various departments within Arsenal (hospitality, ticketing etc.)
  • Package club assets and content in line with the brands objectives to create bespoke proposals
  • Work closely with the Director, Asia to negotiate the terms of each deal to ensure the best possible outcome for the club from each conversation
  • Use club tools including the CRM system to track sales conversations and provide full detail of conversations to inform the partnership development pipeline
  • Engage the Partnerships and Business Strategy teams in the UK when needed for research and strategy assistance


Specific Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a business development role, ideally within the key markets across Asia
  • Advanced business knowledge across various markets with a current network of brand contacts
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue against targets year on year
  • Experience in managing projects end to end demonstrating time management and attention to detail
  • Familiar with contracting process.
