Infront Sports & Media, based in Zug, Switzerland, is the world’s most respected full-service sports marketing company with a capacity for innovation that is helping to transform the industry. Infront Sports & Media in China

Infront China is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Infront Sports & Media. The company, based in Beijing, has rapidly become the leading sports marketing organization in China. With a staff of 50 specialists, the subsidiary offers a powerful combination of international expertise and local market knowledge. Infront China has a long-term partnership with the Team Chian. With the success of Happy 10K series, a mass participate running series fully owned and operated by Infront China, the company has also established itself as one of the key players in the field of endurance and mass participation sports.

 

Infront Sports & Media and BWF

BWF, the Badminton World Federation and Infront Sports & Media, announced in 2016 a long-term strategic partnership to drive BWF’s marketing activities. From 2018 to 2025 Infront Sports & Media will be BWF’s worldwide partner for the commercial rights on an exclusive basis (media, marketing, digital, and betting) across BWF Major Events (Sudirman Cup, Thomas & Uber Cup Finals and the World Championships) and BWF Series – encompassing the current BWF World Superseries and Grand Prix Gold events. The partnership has seen the creation of BWF Marketing a cooperation between BWF and Infront team focused on supporting BWF in developing awareness and value of badminton on a global basis.

 

Role Summary

Scope of work

  • Responsible for driving revenues to reach and exceed sales targets through the sale of all sponsorship rights within the Infront portfolio
  • The role consists of selling rights for BWF sponsorship packages but the successful candidate will also be part of a global sales team representing the Group’s portfolio in China.
  • Establish a detailed understanding of the sport of badminton, sponsorship programs, the BWF, sport personalities and commercial structures
  • Manage on-going BWF sponsor relationships
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Infront sponsorship portfolio and the main benefits associated with varying properties
  • Foster close relationships with decision makers from brands, agencies and influencers relevant for sponsorship sales
  • Educate international colleagues and prepare, develop and deliver innovative sponsoring concepts relevant for Chinese brands
  • Review sponsorship structures/programs to optimize sponsorship sales strategies
  • Conceptualize, prospect, pursue, negotiate and sell sponsorship packages directly to brands
  • Initiate cross-selling activities and regular coordination of sales approach with MMCC and other Infront divisions/subsidiaries
  • Support sales efforts to brands and rights holders of Infront digital platforms and assets
  • Deliver a disciplined approach to sponsorship sales to maximize revenues

 

Educational background

  • Advanced education (university degree)

 

Experience

  • At least 7 years of marketing sales/sponsorship sales experience in an international environment (sports or entertainment industry – agency, federation, club, league, media outlet, etc.)
  • Broad network/portfolio of world wide sponsorship contacts with in-depth relationships and direct access to decision-makers
  • Strong understanding of sport sponsoring programs
  • Broad experience and knowledge of sports federation, league, club and corporate dynamics
  • Understanding and utilize technology and digital assets to assist selling partnership packages

 

Skill & competencies

  • Highly motivated
  • In-depth knowledge of the sports market and industry
  • Ability to engage with C-level executives
  • Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Team spirit and cooperation with international colleagues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Remuneration
