Brand Product Manager Bike – Rossignol

Background

Another milestone in the development of their brand: they have developed an authentically modern Mountain Lifestyle with Hard and Soft Goods for the winter time and summer time.

The Role

An initiative-driven role to plan, create and execute high-impact content, as well as manage brand building activations that engage, educate, and inspire the audience while growing the brand and driving leads. You will work closely with the VP Bike Division, the different teams of the Group, the key departments and key countries to deliver brand-defining work within a set budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving excellence in brand execution of category initiatives, maximizing the creation of demand and sustained consumer connectivity
  • Defining the brand strategy across multiple channels. Drive excellence in brand execution of category initiatives, maximizing the creation of demand and sustained consumer connectivity
  • Market analysis: understand consumer tendencies, requirements, competitor situations and directions
  • Product range management – portfolio analysis, new product requirements, introductions and discontinuations plan, packaging requirements, product performance and profitability
  • Identifying and building impactful stories for seasonal sell-in. Coordinating with Global teams and country teams to ensure alignment of communication
  • Working closely with the Commercial Team in order to coordinate common Go-To Market objectives
  • Take responsibility to ensure targeted gross margins by paying attentions to product costs, mold charges and retail prices
  • Responsible for the yearly bike Rossignol budget, according to yearly Marketing budget plan while ensuring maximum return on marketing investments
  • Maximise marketing & communication opportunities of sponsored athletes, teams and events
  • Monitoring the sports market, as well as sourcing athletes & sports opinion leaders for the company roster

Qualifications & Skills

  • Marketing and/or brand management related degree; at minimum bachelor level
  • Minimum 5 years International Brand Management experience in a Bike Company or in a sport/outdoor company. In-depth knowledge of the sports market. Deep personal interest of outdoor sports and industry
  • Experienced leader and proven ability to manage a team
  • Be organized, structured, and a strong communicator
  • Excellent oral and written English skills, French and German is an advantage
