Business Development Manager – Provision Events

Provision Events specialises in providing interactive sporting experiences at major events across the globe. They conceive, create and deliver interactive activities and promotions that allow brands to engage with sports fans across the world. You will have seen their work at The Ryder Cup, The President’s Cup, The British Open, PGA Tour events, Wimbledon, Moto GP and The Olympic Games.

The Role

Provision Events are searching for a Business Development Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be charged with contacting new prospects, selling the concept and securing initial meetings plus attending new sales pitches/meetings and negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively research new sales prospects across a number of sectors, ensuring the correct person is targeted
  • Initiate face-to-face client meetings through research & follow up communication
  • Manage relationships with rightsholders, governing bodies and relevant brands
  • Develop a customer database and ensure it is effectively maintained
  • Secure New Business sales through a professional network of high-level contacts, both local and national, via customer meetings, telephone sales and e-targeting.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ideally a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a proactive sales environment
  • Experience in an experiential/live marketing preferred, but not essential
  • Proven experience in business development, negotiation, account management and relationship building
  • Excellent IT skills (including excellent MS Office – word, excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent presentation and verbal skills
  • Ambitious team player
  • Able to work under pressure
