Our client is a leading sports marketing agency, specialising in the representation of media and partnership rights on behalf of some of the most prestigious organisations within global sport. Established in 2004, this company aims to maximise advertising, sponsorship and commercial opportunities on behalf of governing bodies, rights holders and brands at major international sporting events.

The Role

This leading sports marketing agency is looking for a Business Manager to join their team.


  • Make a significant contribution to the sponsorship sales process by devising and overseeing the implementation of best in class sales systems and procedures
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the sales systems and procedures
  • Produce a clear and compelling sales proposition for each client property
  • Ensure the production of best in class sponsorship sales materials
  • Assist the Partners with the creation and implementation of a rights acquisition strategy
  • Assist the Partners to conclude sponsorship sales agreements


Sales Process Responsibilities

1. Property Acquisition

  • Write property acquisition presentations
  • Coordinate the design and manufacture of all materials used in the property acquisition process

2. Pre-Sales

  • Approval of client data analysis
  • Write sales propositions
  • Selection of sales materials used to approach target brands
  • Approval of all sales materials

3. Sales

  • Work with the Sales Heads to produce content and design briefs for Presentation 2 and all subsequent presentations
  • Lead the debrief for each project, identifying key learning points to improve the sales process

Business Responsibilities

  • Update the sales process tracking on the office white boards
  • Coordinate the weekly Executive Management Group meeting
  • Review weekly progress report on Sales Team activity
  • Manage the production or requisition and maintenance of company sales resources
  • Ensure the production and maintenance of company sales templates
  • At the direction of the Partners lead strategic projects reviewing existing agency operations and investigate new opportunities
  • Develop innovative ideas for the improvement of the sponsorship sales process
  • Develop a hospitality program for the entertainment of key rightsholder and brand decision makers
  • Manage a program of PR initiatives to build the agency’s profile throughout the sports industry
  • Produce PIC company website
  • Create and manage the bi-annual agency sales training conferences

Key Performance Indicators

  • Production of weekly agenda and minutes for EMG meeting
  • Ensure best in class market response to property acquisition materials
  • Ensure best in class market response to sponsorship sales materials
  • Ensure an effective and efficient sales process for each client project
  • Ensure and effective hospitality program
  • Ensure a positive and admired market response to the agency
  • Deliver innovative and progressive sales conferences to support agency culture
