The Role:

You will be responsible for the management of the Cycling category to achieve updated market knowledge, competitiveness & completeness of the product plan, competitiveness of product inputs, contribution margin, go-to-market and effective communication of products´ winning characteristics.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire in-depth market knowledge incl. competitors’ analysis
  • Identify new market opportunities and trends
  • Evaluate product and market positioning
  • Define product briefings and product plan
  • Prepare product presentations
  • Attend Alpinestars Cycling events
  • Collect all necessary information in order to give the product inputs to R&D to achieve the competitiveness objectives of the product line

Experience and Skills:

  • 7-10 years relevant experience in a similar position
  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree in a related discipline (Economics, Management, Marketing)
  • Project management experience and time management capacity with ability to prioritize
  • Expert knowledge of mountain biking industry
  • Familiarity with merchandising and design process management
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present concepts together with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Propensity to relationship building and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Enthusiasm and motivation with passion for mountain biking
  • Results-driven attitude with strong determination
  • Flexibility and open mind with team-orientation
  • Proficiency in MS office tools – Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook etc.
  • Fluency in English
  • The position is based in Asolo, Italy
