The role:

Reporting to the President, you will be in charge to build Alpinestars brand identity and product awareness in the Cycling markets, by proposing, initiating, developing and maintaining relationship and exposure with print media (including key publishers and editors), as well as event organizers/promoters, race teams and athlete management/media support and photographers.

You will work through external media communications/relations and public relations outreach at key sporting events, races and trade shows, for Cycling. You will respond to media and industry inquiries from the Cycling market, dissemination of media material inclusive of press releases.

You will be monitoring, tracking and archiving of media print/editorial exposure together with maintaining the media database. You will develop company & product news release and other appropriate media communication materials for brand development and positioning.

 Your main responsibilities:

  • Act as point person for media outlets (approx. 150 publications worldwide). Assist with all media contact needs.
  • Encourage and generate additional product placement through product dissemination for test/review. Provide products to media outlets.
  • Visit editors to further build relationships and identify media opportunities.
  • Organize and execute media events with editors for additional exposure.
  • Manage media product stock. Coordinate production of customized gear.
  • Contribute to Social Media posts to leverage brand exposure and cycle involvement on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
  • Write and distribute press releases and official communications (write, edit, maintain mailing lists, etc).
  • Contribute to internal newsletter about race results and events.


  • Negotiate and confirm deliverables and fees for possible event partnerships.
  • Develop booth branding and product presentation relevant to event demographic.
  • Attend and supervise on-site activities and logistics.

MEDIA PROJECTS & DIGITAL ASSETS (collection photo/video shoot, catalog, look-book)

  • Provide valuable cycle insight to assist in establishing goals for specific media projects.
  • Organize product and logistics for photo shoots.
  • Attend photo shoots to ensure maximum brand exposure.
  • Maintain organizational management of digital asset sharing portal.


  • Assist with the development of media presentations at Sales Meetings.
  • Deliver brand and product presentations at sales meetings and other meetings as needed.
  • Host company tours for clients, media representatives and other guests as necessary.
  • Responsible for corporate presentations/hosted activities for varied audiences, journalist, key publishing figures, corporate and commercial clients, athletes and other invited guests, event Race meeting attendances. Presence at local shows, demos, events and promotions.

 Your experience and skills:

  • 7-10 years relevant experience in similar positions
  • University degree in a relevant discipline
  • Familiarity with the mountain biking industry
  • Social media skills across various platform
  • Significant experience with brand management & development
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present concepts together with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Relevant media experience (within the mountain biking sector is an advantage)
  • Propensity to relationship building and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in working on event related projects
  • Enthusiasm and motivation with passion for motorsports
  • Results-driven attitude with strong determination
  • Time management capacity with ability to prioritize activities
  • Flexibility and open mind with team-orientation
  • Creative thinker with the ability to design and present professional and innovative projects
  • Proficiency in MS office tools – Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook)
  • Fluency in English
  • The position is based in Asolo, Italy
