EMEA Running & Multi Training Apparel Product Line Manager

The role:

 The EMEA Running Apparel & Multi Training Apparel PLM will deliver product ranges that satisfy the needs of the EMEA distributors and branch offices whilst meeting margin and volume requirements. The candidate will perform analysis of product group performance, trends and market shares across Europe.

  • Achieve all sales and margin budget targets
  • Work with branch office markets and key distributor markets to get detailed briefs of their product requirements
  • Travel to domestic and international markets to conduct market & consumer research and manage them on database
  • Provide specialist support and present new product lines at all EMEA meetings and key customer accounts where necessary
  • Work closely with the global team to ensure EMEA needs are met within the global plan and the global strategy is reflected in EMEA
  • Maintain EMEA product line cost management systems, updating pricing and margin analysis for all relevant product categories
  • Coordinate any SMU requirements that arise from key EMEA countries
  • Help to create and launch new product innovations in conjunction with Mizuno HQ product and sourcing teams
  • Proactively develop the product line and improve the process through each season and make sure that all key personnel in other departments are involved
  • Work closely with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure ordering and delivery processes are effective and efficient
  • Provide all product costs and specifications such as style codes, colour codes and all other necessary information for trading department to set up system information
  • Create and manage Product Line Profitability spreadsheet in co-ordination with Finance department
  • Work in conjunction with EMEA marketing team to ensure that detailed sales tools are developed and catalogue information is on time and accurate
  • Assist the product department with EMEA conference and meetings
  • In addition to these duties and responsibilities, the jobholder may be required to carry out other tasks assigned by manager

Key experience required

  • Minimum of 3 years experiences working in sports apparel
  • Graduate degree preferably in a sports related discipline
  • English is a must, any additional language is advantageous
  • Proactive approach demonstrating high initiative, energy and passion and an eye for product detail
  • Strong interpersonal/listening skills and be a persuasive/confident/influential communicator
  • Must be able to analyse sales figure and apply interpretation to product range development
  • Good understanding of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes and graphics packages
  • A good knowledge of the EMEA sports retail environment and consumers is advantageous
