A Premier League Football Club has an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior level administrator to become executive assistant to the Chief Executive.
The successful candidate, who will also support one of the club’s other executive directors, is likely to have a minimum of 3 years current experience working in a very senior administrative or executive assistant role, either in professional football or a similar, high profile dynamic environment.
In addition to extremely high levels of confidentiality and discretion, the role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work maturely and collaboratively as part of a wider team, often under pressure and working to tight deadlines.
A strong work ethic, combined with exceptional attention to detail and a bright, positive, loyal and gently assertive personality are key attributes. The successful candidate will be expected to be IT literate and fully conversant with a wide range of software packages. A full clean driving license is essential
The candidate will manage diaries and travel, prepare presentations and reports, and respond to correspondence. They will work closely with the chief executive to plan, prepare for, attend, and take minutes for the club’s monthly board meetings and weekly executive committee meetings.
The post-holder will also be responsible for co-ordinating and managing the boardroom and directors’ guest lounge on a 1st team home match day, overseeing a team of lounge hosts, and being the main point of contact for any requests for home and visiting directors.
This full-time role, which also includes regular week-end working and some evenings, is split between the club’s stadium and training ground offices, and will involve some travel. Candidates from outside the football industry are likely to have a keen interest in and understanding of the sport.
