The role:                                                                                                            

Accountable for the P&L of the Central European Region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), you will be responsible to achieve the agreed targets by brand through a marketing mix that suits the assigned geography ensuring profitability.

You will lead the sales development in the territory, execute the international marketing concepts, and ensure adequate capability of the local organization.

This role will report to the Group CEO.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Meet brand objectives and for the excellent implementation of the Brands Strategy in the region
  • Lead the Sales and Marketing teams towards the defined Brand KPIs (qualitative & quantitative); maintain and manage direct relationships with most important key accounts and strategic dealers
  • Implement globally defined Key Business Drivers and design plans and KPIs to realize them consistently
  • Develop and coordinate the capability and effectiveness of the whole organization in the region
  • Manage the administrative and financial aspects in the assigned region
  • Ensure customer service and high performance for pre- and post-sales, distribution; deliver on time
  • Translate European/globally designed strategies and plans into the regional commercial strategy to achieve the brand’s sales, market share, distribution and profitability objectives in the region
  • Represent the region in global brand process and ensure regional needs are addressed at each single key event
  • Actively look for new business opportunities, manage the sales strategy in the region and develop the region with particular attention on sales conditions, distribution channels etc.
  • Develop and manage strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential key accounts/partners, while executing efficient selling processes
  • Recommend changes to improve the effectiveness of achieving the objectives of the company
  • Contribute to Marcom strategy & tools development by bringing regional consumer and market knowledge input into global thinking and ensure alignment for the brands overall
  • Supervise and develop the marketing mix for the regions, ensuring the excellent execution of the defined action plans

Your experience and skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in senior sales and marketing position(s) with a proven track record of providing results
  • Knowledge of and passion for the sports industry
  • In-depth understanding of consumer branding, communication and promotional techniques
  • Ability to function efficiently in complex matrix organizations
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate others; charismatic, strong communicator with an interdisciplinary and multicultural approach
  • Outstanding organizational and operational skills with hands on mentality
  • Dynamic “can do” attitude with entrepreneurial spirit, collaborative work-ethics and flexibility
  • Proficient use of Office suite (Power Point, Excel)
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Availability to travel
