Head of Brand Partnerships – A Digital Media Platform

As the Head of Brand Partnerships, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering the innovative brand partnerships that will deliver growth for our client’s businesses in the DACH region.

You will quickly move to understand the organisation’s fast growing, innovative business and prove yourself to be the preeminent expert in the DACH region’s brand and sponsorship market. You will leverage your network and expertise to develop a clear “Go to Market” brand partnerships strategy for the region that makes clear sense for our clients business objectives.

Working to a tangible set of subscription, content engagement and brand KPIs, you will curate a pipeline of target partners that align with this strategy, and you will define commercial propositions that excite them and drive deals. You will lead pitches to these partners, execute the agreements that follow and work with your colleagues across the Group to design visible, engaging marketing activation plans that amplify the core marketing messages of the organisation and the clients. You will continually seek to collaborate with your fast-growing base of co-workers in all of the organisations divisions, identifying opportunities that enhance our clients existing partnerships.

As you grow your understanding of the business and its objectives, you will confidently express your opinions on wider business strategy, and co-workers from all functions will seek out your valuable opinions. You will successfully train and manage a team of Account staff whose growing competence will increasingly enable you to focus on strategic and new business planning. You will manage these staff towards defined succession plans, enabling your future career development with the organisation.


  • Develop a clear “Go to Market” strategy for the organisation’s brand partnerships in the DACH region.
  • Curate pipeline of strategically aligned brand partners in the region.
  • Scope-Pitch-Launch-Activate: end to end management of all local brand relationships.
  • Meet or exceed defined KPIs and targets in line with wider business targets.
  • Management of 2-3 person Account Management function.
  • Driving clear and effective communication and collaboration between your team and the business.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a sports marketing, creative or strategy capacity, including management.
  • Clear evidence of success in a KPI-focussed business development or sales environment.
  • Proven ability to “hit a number” and manage associated reporting and communications.
  • Experience in developing strategic and creative brand campaign plans that sync with client objectives.
  • Expert-level understanding of the brand/sponsorship and content marketing landscapes in the DACH region.
  • Exceptional communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Exceptional client management skills.
  • Proven team, project and upwards management skills.
  • Natural collaborator with an ability to work with within geographically disparate teams.
  • Self-starter attitude with strong willingness and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and internationally.
  • Native German language and fluent English speaking.
