It is responsible for developing & selling merchandising products for international sports- and events-projects (Red Bull Racing, RB Leipzig, EC Red Bull Salzburg, Red Bull Air Race…) and managing the new Red Bull fashion brand AlphaTauri (www.alphatauri.com).

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Head of Marketing is responsible for managing all marketing efforts of Red Bull merchandising products as well as AlphaTauri products while maintaining a high quality brand image through effective leadership.

He/she defines the goals and strategic direction in long and short term perspectives and ensures top quality implementation of the approved strategy. He/she fosters a winning mindset in the team, balancing today’s business pressures and anticipating tomorrow’s opportunities

TASKS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Head of Marketing is directly responsible for the overall marketing strategy, day to day marketing and advertising initiatives of Red Bull Global Consumer Products and AlphaTauri products
  • Cross-functionally working with internal parties in order to facilitate the manage
  • Trade marketing guidelines, trade spending strategies, planning and control for the business unit
  • Driving growth while controlling distribution of merchandising licensees together with the License management team (maintain detailed records relating to distribution, account approvals, etc.)
  • Negotiating and drafting of license agreements together with the License management team
  • Developing a network, relationships and partnerships with licensees
  • Brand Management
    He/She works closely with the Marketing Manager, regional team and International HQ specialists to share learnings, best practices, to align plans and to share the latest updates and insights, supports the Marketing Manager with conducting brand trainings, collaborates & ensures synergy on any trade/marketing initiatives
  • Advertising and Creative
    The Head of Marketing creates branding for specific marketing projects in strong collaboration with the respective marketing functions, develops and implements the ideal project-specific advertising plan, taking best practices into consideration and with the right level of digital and social media integration, controls creative and media agencies to ensure correct contractual set-up and strong working relationships to deliver world class creative output, manages the media agency with prudence, to ensure a best possible value-for-money advertising plan, annual review of media planning with the agency and international
  • Product
    He/She leads and manages solid product launches together with sales, finance and other marketing functions and acts as the key contact, understands which packaging solution addresses channel-specific needs (Online & Retail),should have professional knowledge of GCP products: composition, characteristics and special features
  • General Management
    He/She supports the Marketing Manager to develop and implement the annual business plan, prepares, together with the Marketing Manager, the annual plan and financial budgets/P&L in co-operation with the marketing and sales team, manages and maintains the agreed budget
  • People and Knowledge Management
    The Head of Marketing builds, monitors and develops the team within the Marketing division, is responsible for development, training and employee engagement within the Marketing division, establishes highest ethical standards, winning and “we can do” spirit in the whole organization, sets targets to direct reports and evaluates the results on a continuous basis

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Higher education (e.g. General Business, Marketing, Economics or similar)
  • Experience in leadership marketing role
  • Excellent German and English skills (written and spoken)
  • Proven understanding of markets, sales & distribution, competitor activity and consumer behavior in a brand context, ideally in a sports or apparel industry
  • Excellent MS Office skills
