Manager – Digital, Football Asia

Responsible for operational delivery by the digital team of the agreed digital content strategy for the AFC and Lagardère Sports and Entertainment on official social, mobile and web channels
Implementation of workflows, guidelines and best practices to deliver a synced and consistent digital content strategy and brand message across all platforms (focusing on mobile first)
Scheduling, calendar management and planning of content delivery including on-ground match attendance for in-house team, photographers, camera people
Managing the operational / day-to-day relationship with the AFC
Delivering value-add digital content experiences around key matches and tournaments for both live match day and daily content that focus on increasing fan engagement
Managing social and web editors to ensure prioritisation, communication, focus and delivery of strategy as a team to agreed targets
Overseeing the management and implementation of partnerships including data, web hosts and photography library as well as their invoice management.
Selecting and delivering content for distribution on 3rd party platforms
Delivering weekly and monthly reports for social and web including competitions including analysis and recommendations
Content marketing planning; identifying and delivering paid and organic content promotion plans
Identifying new product features, technologies, platforms and partnerships for web, social and mobile.
Managing the roster of photographers, camera people, club and league contacts
Key Experience Required
A self-starter with at least 5 years of digital experience in a similar level role
Proven track record (shown via KPIs) of managing editors and successful digital content plans for web, mobile and social media
A thorough understanding and working experience of the role of digital in engaging football fans; what they want to consume and how they do this on digital platforms
Experienced in creating and delivering a consistent and innovative editorial tone / voice through specific content choices across different platforms
Highly organized; can manage and plan multiple workflows, sync editorial plans across multiple platforms and ensure delivery against strict deadlines
People management skills and experience
Thorough understanding of how to manage high-profile social media accounts and engage audiences
A clear understanding of the different platforms and their features, along with a knowledge of digital trends both inside and outside of football
Preferably with experience in working with web CMS
A strong working knowledge of football in Asia and Middle East, including key industry players and competitors, as well as an awareness of teams, players and competitions
Some travel will be required across East and West Asia
Grow overall audiences according to agreed KPIs across web and social platforms
Grow awareness and understanding of LS and AFC competitions and events
Increase fan engagement with the AFC and LS channels for key competitions
Deliver a differentiated content experience for fans and sponsors
Position the official social and web channels as the go-to destination for AFC and LS events and tournaments
Organise, manage and implement workflows, best practices, partnerships and team communication to improve efficiencies in content production and to create real add-value experiences around key tournaments
