Ginx TV is a London-based international media company, dedicated to the creation of esports TV channels around the world.  The rapidly growing GINX Esports TV channel is currently available in over 45 million households in 80 international markets in 9 languages. We are looking for a multi-tasking Marketing Director to lead our cross-media marketing activities. A key task will be to grow sampling of our channel on Sky and Virgin and to drive ratings. The Marketing Director will also be responsible for the marketing relationships with client distribution platforms and will oversee the digital and social media team.

You will be passionate about games and have a strong interest in esports. You will have a solid strategic grasp on how to deploy all marketing levers to build our brand. You will have worked in esports or sports-television in a professional capacity for a minimum of 4 years and be ‘restless’, outgoing and dynamic.

Responsibilities

  • Devise, manage & implement Ginx’s overall marketing strategy.
  • Work with the production team to create x-channel promotions and place those with male 16-34 focused UK channels.
  • Reach out to influencers, esports players and teams to explore innovative content/marketing partnerships.
  • Oversee marketing campaigns across our Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram & Twitch.
  • Manage the relationships with our UK & international distribution partners – create launch events, welcome packs and joint marketing campaigns.
  • Provide ongoing analysis, key insights and recommendations to optimise performance.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of and passion for (sports) television, esports, video- and mobile gaming.
  • Great communication skills: writing, content development, presentation.
  • Ability to deal with high pressure environment of a fast-growing international company.
  • Proactive, highly motivated team player, great work ethos; highly organised and meticulous planner.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ professional marketing experience in an esports environment at a TO, team or publisher or at a (sports) television channel.
  • International (outside UK) experience desirable.

Our offices are just north of King’s Cross on a small industrial estate and are part of the Tileyard campus. There are 30 of us and our organisation is flat as a pancake (you get that with a Dutch CEO). Being an early stage company, the Marketing Director role will very much be hands-on, sleeves rolled-up. You should not be above performing menial tasks or turn your nose up at frequent unsociable hours. The esports industry is growing up fast, but expect some rough edges.
