Partnership Sales Manager – Blackcastle Sport

Blackcastle Sport is an emerging sports marketing agency based in Manchester. We launched in 2017 and have so far exceeded all expectations in terms of growth and establishing our new business.

Blackcastle Sport work predominantly in the motorsport sector however, we also work across other sports and do not limit ourselves to one vertical.  We manage the commercial rights to 7 world class racing drivers, including 3 Formula One drivers and 2 Formula E drivers. Our core focus is to deliver and present commercial partnership opportunities to our drivers, the teams and the series’ involved.

The Role

Due to our success and growth, we are now in a position to expand further and are looking for a full time, highly motivated and driven Partnership Sales to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sponsorship / partnership sales and have a deep understanding of the marketing industry. We are searching for someone who is keen to develop their own career alongside a dynamic business with an ambition to progress with the organisation as it grows.

This is an exciting time for Blackcastle Sport Management due to the new partnerships and clients we are continuously acquiring.

Responsibilities

  • Have at least 2 years experience in sports sponsorship / partnership sales
  • Have a proven track record of the sales they have been responsible for
  • Have a strong and deep understanding of sports marketing and the industry landscape
  • Be able to discuss in depth marketing as a subject
  • Have an ambition to lead a sales team of sponsorship associates within 12 / 18 months
  • Be articulate The role will require conversations with “C” level executives, both via telephone and face to face
  • Have a proven sales track record
  • Have the ability to be flexible with their working hours. We work alongside some International brands and clients who will require early or late meetings and calls.
  • Have the drive to succeed and strive for the highest quality of service offered
  • Have an interest in sport.
  • Have an excellent telephone manner
  • Be well presented

Qualifications & Skills

  • Educated to Degree level.
  • Degree in sponsorships, sport marketing or marketing.
  • The flexibility to travel.
  • The flexibility to work some weekends. This will be limited and only in certain circumstances as the role may require.
  • Experience in working with “C” level executives.
  • Plays or has played sport to a strong level.
