Sales Representative (m/f) South East Bavaria & Austria – Haglöfs

Background

More than a century ago, Wiktor Haglöf designed a backpack for the local workers of Swedish small town Torsang. The durable, practical backpack would be the proud beginnings of what today is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of outdoor clothing, footwear and hardware. The Haglöfs brand is currently marketed to the Nordic region, Europe and Asia is owned by ASICS Corporation since 2010.

Haglöfs develops, sells and distributes premium outdoor equipment for anyone who wants to explore the outdoors. By focusing on high quality, durability and functionality, we ensure great outdoor experiences for our consumers. The Sales Representative role is a core function in creating reliability, profitability and strong relationships with our customers, enabling our brand to grow long-term. The incumbent will be an important contributor in developing the Haglöfs brand on the German & Austrian market together with the Senior Sales & Key Account Manager and the rest of the team.

Position: Sales Representative South East Bavaria & Austria

Location: Munich area or Salzburg area

Reporting to: Senior Sales & Key Account Manager Germany & Austria

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving a profitable sales and customer agenda for Area South-East Bavaria & Austria, with focus on both maximizing sales growth from existing customers as well as developing new accounts. You will also be responsible for managing and meeting your customers’ needs from sell in, to staff training and the provision of merchandising support, focused on delivering strong sell through. You are also expected to contribute to the functional development of the sales team and reaching the German team’s strategic goals.

The job will require travelling to visit customers in the area, attendance at trade shows, international sales meetings and brand events.

You should have a relevant educational background and previous experience from sales and managing customer relations. We also hope you share our passion for the outdoors and strive to be part of a great sales team.

 

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Manage and develop the area sales in line with Haglöfs strategic direction and KPI’s
  • Develop and execute on annual sales and account plans
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ensure excellence in customer follow up, distribution, sell-through, brand building and merchandizing

 

Profile

We are looking for a person who aspires to have full area sales responsibilities and thrives to be part of and contribute to the success of the team. As a person, the right candidate has a genuine interest in outdoor products and lifestyle. To be successful in this role you should have/be:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience from sales and customer managing positions, preferably within a retail environment
  • Commercially oriented and a high level of drive and initiative
  • Structured and able to plan ahead
  • Strong communication skills – building long-term relationships and communicating clear directions to external and internal stakeholders
  • A general understanding of the outdoor and retail business value chain
