Our history

For 35 years, the company killtec has been developing collections for sports and leisure with lots of passion and experience. More than 130 employees work at the headquarters in Buchholz in der Nordheide close to Hamburg, who focus mainly on design, product development and product technology. The administration and state-of-the-art logistics are also based here, as is an attractive shop in which a particularly large and up-to-date selection of the killtec products is displayed.

The brand programme consists of the core brand killtec and the brand G.I.G.A. DX, which has been on the market since 2007. The products of this line stand for causal, sporty fashion with a distinct lifestyle orientation.

Position: Sales Representative Netherlands

Location: killtec Showroom in 3833 LA Leusden, Plesmanstraat I

Reporting to: Sales Director

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving a profitable sales and customer agenda for The Netherlands, with focus on both maximizing sales growth from existing customers as well as developing new accounts. You will also be responsible for managing and meeting your customers’ needs from sell in, to staff training and the provision of merchandising support, focused on delivering strong sell through. You are also expected to contribute to the functional development of the sales team and reaching the company’s strategic goals.

The job will require travelling to visit customers in the sales region, attendance at trade shows, international sales meetings and brand events.

You should have a relevant educational background and previous experience from sales and managing customer relations. We also hope you share our passion for the outdoors and strive to be part of a great sales team. 

Main responsibilities and tasks 

  • Manage and develop the area sales in line with killtec strategic direction and KPI’s
  • Develop and execute on annual sales and account plans
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships also to potential new clients (inclusive key accounts)
  • Ensure excellence in customer follow up, distribution, sell-through, and merchandizing
  • Representing killtec at international fairs like OutDoor or ISPO

Profile

We are looking for a person who aspires to have full area sales responsibilities and thrives to be part of and contribute to the success of the team. As a person, the right candidate has a genuine interest in outdoor products and lifestyle. To be successful in this role you should have/be:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience from sales and customer managing positions, preferably within a retail environment
  • Commercially oriented and a high level of drive and initiative
  • Structured and able to plan ahead
  • Willing to travel
  • Strong communication skills – building long-term relationships and communicating clear directions to external and internal stakeholders in the German HQ
  • A general understanding of the outdoor or sporting goods industry and retail business value chain
