Senior Manager -WWE

Marketing Events, Activation and Partnerships (UK and Ireland)

Overview:

This position will report directly to the UK head of Marketing with a dotted line reporting relationship to the VP, International Marketing and the UK market VP and General Manager. This role will support all marketing initiatives for WWE UK and Ireland in conjunction with the International Marketing team in Stamford, CT.

Reporting Line: Senior Director UK Commercial Marketing & Operations (UKD)

Responsibilities:

Planning, Management and Delivery of all marketing events and activations including:

  • Red Carpet Hospitality events
  • Business Partner Summits
  • UK Tour activations including talent promotional tours, Live Event brand activations and b2c and b2b engagement activity
  • Activity at third party Consumer and b2b events
  • Define and coordinate sponsorship and / or other revenue generating activations
  • Define and coordinate WWE presence at relevant business to business events such as conferences and trade events
  • Sponsorship activations
  • Sourcing, building and managing strategic partnerships with third party brands and media to further support global business, brand and engagement objectives
  • Supporting TV partner marketing initiatives, working with the local Marketing and CMD (Content Media and Distribution) heads
  • Supporting promotional and marketing activity across other Lines of Business (LOBs) as required including WWE Network, Consumer Products and Live Events
  • Working with the local Marketing Director to develop measurable and targeted programs in-line with global, local market and departmental strategic goals
  • Manage Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives to include local initiatives and global WWE initiatives
  • Assist in the coordination of social media activity with local agency and the WWE Social Media Team and International Head of Communications
  • Create appropriate supporting materials and update marketing resources to enhance consumer awareness of regions’ initiatives
  • Budget management and measurement and analysis of all activations
  • Keep abreast of marketing and event best practices across the region

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in related subject
  • Min of 5 years of experience as a marketing professional, preferably within the sport or entertainment industry
  • Min of 5 years’ industry or related business experience, preferably in TV, Digital, Media or applicable industry
  • Experience in project management with an ability to operate with a high level of autonomy
  • Task oriented and skilled at juggling various responsibilities and adapting to change
  • Ability to prioritize and thrive in a dynamic environment, often with limited resource
  • Ability to problem solve and work across all levels of management in and outside of WWE
  • A proactive self-starter who also works well as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with graphic design software skills an advantage
  • Ability to work flexible work hours to include nights and/or weekends based on business need
  • Travel as required
