Clifford French is an independent sport and entertainment communications agency that delivers campaigns through content creation, influencer marketing, PR, sponsorship, digital and talent.  Based in Hoxton, our team of 16 consultants work with brands including EA SPORTS, Carlsberg, PUMA, NFL UK, Glenmorangie, William Hill, Farah menswear, Papa John’s,  SportsDirect.com.

Papa John’s want Clifford French to take on their full-time social media community management.  This provides an exciting opportunity for the candidate to help build Clifford French’s social media offering outside of Clifford French focusing on sport and entertainment brands.  The agency has previously activated paid social campaigns for brands like Barry’s Boot Camp:

Responsibilities:

  • Papa John’s UK social media channel management
    • Design and implement social media strategy in line with KPI’s across core platforms:
      • Facebook
      • Twitter
      • Instagram
      • SnapChat
      • YouTube
    • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content aligned to target audience
    • Create strategic content calendars
    • Create relevant content (video/stills) for relevant channels
    • Evaluate channel and post-performance against KPI’s / benchmarks
    • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
    • Boost posts with paid campaigns – develop audience profiling
    • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews over seven day period (supported by other team members)
    • Work with CF consulting team to develop macro and micro influencer strategy
    • Oversee platform account designs e.g. Facebook timeline cover etc
    • Build effective relationship with client (brand manager)
  • Clifford French wider clients – social media strategy and creative development
    • Develop content strategies for retained clients and as part of new business proposals
      • Attend new business meetings with director
  • Social media influencers / vloggers / bloggers network management
    • Build and manage network of influencers for earned and paid for campaign activation
    • Develop mutually beneficial relationships with key influencers across sport, food, travel and entertainment
    • Activate daily task of reading a broad array of media to develop industry and client knowledge.     Manage central audit of contacts and work alongside agency comms consultants
  • Short form content creation
    • Basic understanding of video editing software for relevant social media channels – short form video / memes etc
  • Content development
    • Draft tailored copy incorporating relevant SEO key words, handles, #’s and links.  Develop infographics and source images (as part of client asset subscription) for targeted posts
    • Manage blog on Clifford French website via CMS ensuring different staff member writes a monthly blog post
  • CF own channel social media management
    • Grow and engage existing communities with content captured at client events
  • Industry monitoring
    • Analyse and audit industry for new trends and channels to be considered and activated by clients –
  • Client administration and reporting
    • Ensure client support and reporting is our number one priority in terms of social media campaign analysis and evaluation, reactive client requests and competitor analysis.

The Candidate:

  • Passion for consumers, entertainment and sports brands
  • Passion for all things social and media
  • PR background would be an advantage
  • Personality and drive
  • Creativity – we’re happy for you to push the boundaries (we want to challenge our clients)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt your tone of writing to a variety of audiences
  • A strong team ethic – Working as part of a small team you’ll get the recognition you deserve, but you’ll also have to be willing to muck-in when called upon. E.g. admin!
