Role:

The Trade Marketing Manager has the primary goal and responsibility to translate the Brand goals (sales and marketing) and communication campaigns into effective Trade Marketing concepts, tools and actions, to support the products sell out and the best implementation of the marketing strategy at Point of Sales. The control and monitoring of the trade marketing actions and the relative sell out performances guarantee their constant evolution and a rapid correction when needed, as well as an adequate support to the countries organizations. The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for the process for the development  (in coordination with the Visual Manager) and the production for POP tools, product displays and Soft Shop. Lead the Trade Marketing Specialist and support the Retail Marketing Specialist/Manager.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Develop the Trade Marketing strategy and seasonal concepts for the brand SALEWA in strong collaboration with the Communication Manager, E-com & Digital Marketing Manager, Retail Marketing Manager to guarantee the alignment of the concepts on all different touchpoints
  • Manage and drive the complete POS process – concept creation, forecast, orders, management of the warehouse and logistic, supervision of the implementation
  • Manage and drive the Soft Shop process and brand areas and support the countries in the implementation
  • Research, brief and select producer of POS and coordinate the production guaranteeing excellence in timing, quality and price in close collaboration with Procurement Manager
  • Responsible for the management of orders, stock and logistic of POS material
  • Active collaboration in the preparation of the international events – trade show, Salewa Brand Meeting, Convention, special events
  • Supervision of the Trade Marketing planning and execution in Italy (leading the Trade Marketing Specialist) and support other focus countries such as Central Europe by working and supervising the performance of selected strategic
  • He/she is responsible for the creation of the monthly UPDATE Report to the Marketing Directors which includes the status of implementation in the countries, constant overview of the sell-out analysis and overview of the concept development of the upcoming season
  • Responsible for the development of special key account concepts in strong collaboration with the Group Visual Merchandising Manager and Sales and Marketing Manager in the countries
  • Responsible for the Trade Marketing Budget, planning of the investments in close collaboration with the local Marketing Managers, monitoring and respect of the

Your experience and skills:

  • 5 years’ experience in Visual Merchandise or Trade Marketing
  • Experience in an international environment
  • Experience in the consumer goods industry, preferable in the sporting goods industry or fashion
  • Experience in people management
  • Dynamic, sportive personality with a hands on approach
  • Mountain sports enthusiasm
